BELLEVUE HILL GARDEN

OVERVIEW

A dated pool and underused garden transformed into an inviting outdoor retreat.

THE BRIEF

This project began with a 1970s-era pool that dominated the entire backyard—leaving little space for anything else. The challenge was to reclaim the area and create a garden that felt like a true extension of the home.

The redesign introduced a more efficient pool footprint, a new spa, and a generous entertaining area that can comfortably host up to 20 guests. Layered planting, including buxus hedging and flowering magnolias, adds softness and privacy, while uplighting creates atmosphere in the evenings.

The result is a garden that balances structure with ease—perfect for entertaining, unwinding, or simply enjoying the outdoors with family and friends.
